A communication tool that is used by more than 12 million people worldwide, aims to make it easier for new users to work, simplifying the desktop environment.

Over the past few weeks, the number of people at home office has been increasing to use tools like Slack to communicate. For many of them this is a difficult situation, so the company is trying to make it easier for them to switch to the new regime.

Some important features were not visible in the interface at first glance, and newcomers couldn't find them without help, reducing work efficiency.

In addition to simpler design, the new environment also offers easier channel layout and grouping. Any changes you make will only be reflected in the individual user account, not the entire team.

Redesign also brought a clearer top navigation bar, centralized search or help tool. Slack is now more similar to email clients that users have been working with for a long time to better navigate the communicator.

So far, the news only applies to the desktop version, but the mobile application will soon see changes. The new design can now be used by all new users, the existing ones will see it in the coming weeks.
