Facebook takes over the service for creating and sharing moving pictures of Giphy.

Facebook did not disclose the financial side of the agreement, but its value is in the hundreds of millions of dollars.

Facebook now plans to integrate Giphy into the Instagram social network. However, it will also use animated images on other platforms.

“Giphy will continue to run its (picture) library. People will be able to continue downloading GIF images, "said Facebook.

Users often use gifs in Internet discussions as well. According to Facebook, they support the creative expression of individuals. It, therefore, intends to continue to invest in and improve the technology of this service.
