Microsoft 365 apps will no longer support Internet Explorer 11. Regarding the matter, Microsoft also announced it on one of the posts on their blog. This is a big step for them to bring their users to a more advanced Microsoft Edge web-browser. Even now, some companies are still using legacy systems and working with Internet Explorer (IE).

This change will start from Microsoft Team’s web application and they will stop IT support starting from this year November, 30th. As for Microsoft 365 applications, they plan to stop IE support on 17th March, 2021.

Aside from the announcements about IE 11, Microsoft Edge Legacy desktop app (pre-Chromium Edge) will not receive security updates after 09th March, 2021. Internet Explorer 11 was introduced in 2013 as a core component of Windows operating systems.
