The new iPhones coming out this fall are expected to support 5G connectivity for the first time. But Apple still did not complete its own 5G modems, so it agreed to work with its rival, Qualcomm. According to Fast Company, Qualcomm's antenna is too big for Apple to incorporate into its phones. Therefore, the American giant is again considering making the component himself. It seems that Qualcomm will only use the modem after the company has shrunk it enough. But it is already clear that the adjustment will be time consuming, and if Apple waited for its supplier, it would not be able to meet the traditional launch date of the new models. Hopefully, Apple's new antenna will turn out a little better than the iPhone 4, where customers have experienced frequent signal outages.
