At AMD Gaming Event 2020 on November 5, Team Red has announced their new Zen 3 powered Ryzen 5xxx series. It was a brief half an hour event in which AMD announced their record-breaking internal benchmark results.

Zen 3 features a new unified 8-core complex that allows each core in the cluster direct access to L3 cache. AMD CTO – Mark Papermaster also declared that the new architecture sees a 19-percent instructions per clock cycle (IPC) uplift when compared with Zen 2.

According to the tests made by AMD, the new CPU has exceeded in terms of performance, power efficiency, IPC and single-threaded performance compared to current leading desktop processors from both sides – AMD and Intel.
