27.10.2020 | Thousands of Amazon workers signed and voted for Amazon to give paid time offs
According to CNN Business – the thousands of Amazon’s tech workers have signed and voted a petition for it to give paid time off to all of its employees.
Amazon, in their corporate and warehouse employees as well as Amazon-owned Whole Food’s workers: have employed more than 1.3 million people in the United States which is the second largest private employer in the country. This petition which was first reported by NBC news asks for 8 hours of paid time off for all the employees until the Election Date for voting-related activities.
Currently, over 3000 employees have signed this petition which as released on last week Tuesday via an internal company tool and was organized by Amazon Employees for Climate Justice.
