Last Sunday, NVidia has told that they have agreed with Softbank to buy chip designer ARM with 40$ billion.

In an email sent by NVidia’s CEO Jensen Huang, to his employees, this 40 billion dollar agreement will help in transforming them to a dominant player “in the age of AI”.

Masayoshi Son, chairman and CEO of Softbank has called NVidia “the perfect partner for ARM”

ARM will maintain their business of licensing its chip designs to other firms. ARM-based processors are popular in smartphones and also in the data center service.
