Instagram and Facebook has been working on a new feature with the ability to cross-post in-between them in order to deepen their integration within the two platforms. According to a report from The Verge Facebook has been working on a feature which will be able to show Instagram stories on Facebook stories. According to that report, it is now available for a small set of users to test this feature.

In the pop-up explaining the new feature on Facebook, it explained “now your followers will be able to view your Instagram story on Facebook. To enable this, the Instagram followers must link their Instagram accounts with Facebook and must turn-on the new feature in the setting. Then they will be able to view your Instagram stories via Facebook. However, those who did not follow you on Instagram will not be able to do so on Facebook”. They explained.

These stories will also have a visual distinction. Facebook stories will have blue circles around them whilst Instagram stories will have their traditional pink and orange circles around them.
