29.10.2020 | If you are linking more than one Oculus VR headsets to your Facebook account, you are risking your account to ban.

One of the requirements to use Oculus is to link your device with Facebook and it has created some major problems for some of their biggest fans. If you are using more than one VR headset linked to the same Facebook account, there is a risk of being banned. The support representatives claims that, this violates Facebook’s terms of service.

Oculus is planning on support for multiple Facebook accounts on one headset. However, this doesn’t address problems for people who can’t or don’t want to create Facebook accounts, such as minors under 13. This current situation could force people to either create placeholder accounts or use only one headset at a time, which could potentially hurt some of Oculus’s loyal customers.

When engadget has asked Facebook for a comment, They said – this account requirement will help people find friends for social experiences like games, cut back on trolls and allow integration features like the Horizon VR space. But some of the critics have argued that this ties users to the Facebook ecosystem and makes it easier for it to track user’s activities and habits.
