6.1.2021 | Google Play Music users should transfer their playlists ASAP.

Recentely, in December 2020, Google has changed their Music app to a more similar style like Spotify, dubbed as “YouTube Music”. This new option will cost £9.99 per month to listen the songs and to have access to various other features.

A message on the site says: "Google Play Music is no longer available. You can transfer your account and library, including playlists and uploads, for a limited time. If you want to keep your music, download it soon. If you choose not to delete it now, we’ll automatically delete any remaining music and data once shutdown is complete.”

The deadline for this was set at December 31, 2020 which was also marked as the ending of Google Play Music at the end of 2020. However, the free transfer tool is still accessible at music.youtube.com/transfer. For those who were using Google Play Music, it is advised that you should transfer your songs and playlists as soon as possible.
