According to the announcement made from the U.S Department of Commerce, the e-commerce sales in the whole country in the past 3 months has increased by 30% due to the pandemic. In the second-half of this year, people spent a total of 211.5 billion whilst shopping online. This is 31.8% more than the first-half of this year.

The American shopping center – Walmart also reported their online sales has went up by 97% thanks to online shopping and their grocery pick-up and delivery systems. As per the Department of Commerce, 16.1% of the sales in the State is done by online.

Nowadays, Walmart has offered a total of 3450 pick-up spots while offering same day delivery on 2730 stores. Since February, they’ve also increased the time-slot to order groceries by 30% to meet the customer’s demands.
