Microsoft’s founder Bill Gates voiced that “President Trump’s travel ban earlier this year might have accelerated the spread of the Novel Corona Virus 2019”.

Last Saturday, in an interview with Fox News Gates said that “because of this ban, thousands of people will rush back into the country, however there is not enough security measures and thus, the virus will still continue to spread”. He also said that “The way this ban is executed, might have accelerated the spread of the pandemic” in the interview.

This is not the first time Gates has criticized about the government’s handling of coronavirus. In an interview with CBS News in July, he said that “serious mistakes were made” in how the virus was handled: reopenings and mask compliance were two of the main issues.
